What the inspector wrote

On today's date Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) William Vanegas conducted an unannounced visit for the purposes of conducting an annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA was greeted and granted entry to the facility by Administrator (AD) Tina Menendez. LPA explained the purpose of the visit, and began a tour of the facility accompanied by AD. LPA observed the following. AD has a valid Administrator certificate valid from March 23, 2026 through March 22, 2027. This is a one storied home with five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms five of which are private resident bathrooms, and one of which is a guest/staff half bathroom, and a detached two car garage. LPA observed kitchen area to be clean and free of any mildew and debris. LPA observed there to be a refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, washer, and dryer. All appeared to be in good repair and tested operational. LPA observed there to be a two day supply of perishable food and a seven day supply of non-perishable food. LPA observed a sufficient amount of emergency water on hand. LPA observed all resident rooms to be clean and free of any hazards or debris. LPA observed all resident rooms to have all required furnishings including a bed, clean linens in good repair; meaning no strains or tares, a reading lamp, a chair, a chest drawers, and enough storage space for resident to store their personal belongings. LPA Observed resident bathrooms to be clean and free of any mildew or debris. Water faucets, and toilets tested to be operational, bathrooms had all required furnishings such as grab bars, slip resistant floor matts, and a shower chair. Hot water temperature tested between 105.2 and 108.9 degrees Fahrenheit. CONTINUED ON LIC809C LPA observed all fire extinguishers to be fully charged, and up to date. LPA observed all smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to be in good repair and tested operational. LPA observed first aid kit to have all required items such as a thermometer, bandages, adhesive tape, tweezers, scissors, and a first aid manual. LPA toured the outside of the facility with AD and observed the following. There is an outdoor shaded sitting area, the backyard is large enough to participate in outdoor activities upon resident request, no hazards or obstructions were observed along the exit routes. Side gates are locked and self latching. LPA reviewed three staff files and five resident files, all files (staff and resident) had all required documents. Staff training was up to date and documented correctly. LPA reviewed medications with AD and observed no discrepancies. LPA observed medications documented correctly, and per LPA review all medications are being administered per physicians orders. Based on today's observations during the inspection. Per title 22 chapter 8 division 6 no deficiencies will be issued on today's date. An exit interview was conducted with AD and a copy of this report was provided to the facility.
