On July 21, 2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Miguel Herrera and Theresa Marquez conducted an unannounced case management inspection and met with Director Valecia Garcia. Teacher Flora Perez was also present during the inspection. The purpose of this inspection is to confirm the lead water testing results. A tour of the facility was taken and census information was obtained. Assembly Bill 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018 requires all Child Care Centers (CCCs) that are located in buildings constructed before January 1, 2010 to test their drinking water for lead contamination by January 1, 2023 and every 5 years thereafter. Director Garcia provided evidence of completed water testing for samples collected on March 25, 2023 with no action level exceedances noted. The kitchen sink faucet (outlet A) was the only faucet that was tested in the facility. LPAs observed four hand washing faucet sinks that are only used for the purpose of washing the children\342\200\231s hands. Per Director Garcia, the only faucet that is used to drink water and prep food is the kitchen sink faucet. LPAs observed two outdoor drinking faucets during the inspection. One of the two outdoor drinking faucets is inoperable and the other faucet was made inaccessible to children. Per the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, no deficiency has been cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. Director Garcia was provided a copy of appeal rights.
