What the inspector wrote

On 03/19/2026 at 8:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) K.Nguyen arrived unannounced to conduct a 1-Year Annual Required inspection. LPA met with Administrator, Morenike Hamza, and explained the purpose of the visit. Administrator certificate is current: 7010729740 09/29/2025 09/28/2027. The facility’s fire clearance was approved for three (3) non-ambulatory and hospice waiver for two (2). LPA toured facility with Administrator inside and out including but not limited to bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, common area and backyard. The facility consists of 2 total bedrooms for the residents. All outdoor and indoor passageways are kept free of obstruction. There are no bodies of water observed. A comfortable temperature is maintained at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA observed lighting in all rooms are adequate for the comfort and safety of the residents. The hot water temperature in the residents’ shared bathroom was measured at 118.2 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a minimum of one week supply of nonperishable and 2-day of perishable foods. Centrally stored medication and sharps were locked and inaccessible to residents. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were in operation during the visit. Fire extinguisher last inspected on 8/15/25. The fire drill was last conducted on 01/05/2026. Emergency last updated and review conducted on 3/19/2026. Liability Insurance effective date: 3/2/26 to 3/2/27 Report Continues on LIC 809c... At 8:45 AM, LPA reviewed 3 resident records. At 9:45 AM, LPA reviewed 2 staff records, and they are associated with the facility. Deficiency observed on today's date: At 10:30 am, LPA observed prescribed medication left underneath the bathroom sink. Deficiencies were cited per Title 22, California Code of Regulations.
