Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Allegation: Staff did not meet resident’s hygiene needs which led resident to develop UTI Investigation Finding: Unsubstantiated During investigation, LPA conducted interviews with, reporting party (RP), authorized representative (POA) resident (R1), staff (S1) and reviewed resident (R1) documents. LPA interviewed staff (ADM, S1) who stated that they gave R1 full baths 2X per week and changed his diapers every 3 hours. On 07/02/25 at 2PM, R1 confirmed with LPA that staff changed his diapers 3X per day or as needed and gave him showers 2X per week (every Saturday and Thursday). LPA observed R1 to be clean, odor free and well groomed. Although the allegation may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred. Therefore, the allegation that staff did not meet resident’s hygiene needs which led resident to develop UTI is unsubstantiated. Exit interview conducted and a copy of this report provided.
