Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Continued from LIC 9099 On the allegation: Staff did not safeguard the residents’ medication During investigation, LPA interviewed staff who stated that they have not had medications go missing or lost from either memory care or assisted living. Staff explained the process when a resident refuses medications, that they will make up to three attempts to give it to a resident then they will document the missed dosage reason and properly dispose of that dosage in the locked medications disposal. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there are not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED . Exit interview conducted and a copy of this report provided.
