What the inspector wrote

On 07/07/2025 at 8:30 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) James Sampair and Andrew Christy arrived unannounced to conduct the Required Annual Inspection. Upon entry, the LPAs stated the purpose of the visit to Lead Caregiver Cherrie Braga. The Licensee Mylin Perdigue arrived at approximately 9:30 AM. The LPAs inspected the interior and exterior of the facility. The inspection of the physical plant included the kitchen, dining area, restrooms, community living spaces, resident rooms, storage areas, and the grounds of the facility. More than the required minimum of 7 days of nonperishable and 2 days of perishable foods were appropriately stored. Temperature in the dining room was measured at 76.1 degrees Fahrenheit and the water in the kitchen measured to 126.3 degrees Fahrenheit. The fire extinguisher was fully charged and last replaced 06/10/2025. The carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were fully operational. The LPAs observed required postings in the facility, including the Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Complaint Poster, Ombudsman and Personal Rights posters, and the Theft and Loss Policy. An administrator is on site more than the minimum of 20 hours a week to oversee the proper business operations. The LPAs reviewed facility records, records of 5 residents, and records of 5 staff members. The LPAs interviewed 2 staff members and 2 residents. 1 Type-A citation issued (refer to LIC809-D) during the inspection. Exit interview conducted and a copy of this report was provided.
