What the inspector wrote

On 07/24/2024 at 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) L. Alexander arrived unannounced to conduct 1-Year Annual Required inspection. LPA met with Activities Director, Helen McCauley and explained the purpose of the visit. Staff phoned Licensee/Administrator, Ritchie Gonzales, to inform. Ritchie arrived approximately an hour later. The facility’s fire clearance was approved for 32 (thirty-two) non-ambulatory residents. There is an approved hospice waiver for 10 (ten) residents. Administrator's certificate #6044801740 expires 07/18/2025. LPA toured the facility with Helen including but not limited to six (6) residents’ apartments, bathrooms, multiple activity rooms, kitchen, common area and courtyard. There are no bodies of water observed. LPA observe lighting in all rooms are adequate for the comfort and safety of the residents. Hallway temperature was maintained at 76 and 73 degrees F. LPA observed lighting in all rooms are adequate for the comfort and safety of the residents. The hot water temperature in a sample of residents’ shared bathroom were measured at 109.7, 111.7, 107.0 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents’ bathrooms are equipped with grab bars and non-skid mats. There is a minimum of one week supply of nonperishable and 2-day of perishable foods. Centrally stored medications, sharps and toxic are locked and inaccessible to residents in care. LPA reviewed 4 residents records. LPA reviewed 5 staff records and 5 of 5 have current first aid training and associated to the facility. - LIC809-C Continued..... LIC809-C Continued...
