What the inspector wrote

On 7/02/2024 at 10:00am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carol Fowler conducted an announced pre-licensing inspection LPA met with Richard Bond, Administrator. The facility has an incomplete fire safety clearance for six (6) non-ambulatory residents. LPA inspected the facility inside and out including but not limited to the bedrooms, bathrooms, common living areas, kitchen, back yard. The facility has a total of 3 buildings an ADU with one (1) bedroom, one (1) bathroom. The main building has three (3) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms. No bodies of water observed. There is sufficient lighting around the facility. Client’s rooms are equipped with the proper furniture, bedding, and lighting. Bathrooms shower/tub was equipped with a nonskid mat. Passageways and hallways are free of obstruction. Locked closet available to store medications, toxins and sharps. Hot water temperature is measured at 129.1 Fahrenheit in shared clients' bathroom and 115 degrees Fahrenheit in the ADU unit. Fire extinguisher was purchased on 9/23/2023. First Aid kit was complete. Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors present and in working condition. Continue on LIC 809C continue from LIC 809 ISSUES DURING INSPECTION: water temperature in common resident bathroom 129.1 2 propane tanks, dolly, ladder, shovel, rakes, unlocked located in the backyard. no land line phone service. no Ombudsman's poster posted. Hygiene supplies needed. altered storage room. number of buildings 3 Issues were noted during inspection. LPA observed that facility is not ready to be licensed. This report will be submitted to the Central Applications Unit (CAU) and a final review of the application will be conducted. This facility is not yet licensed and is subject to final approval by CAU. Additional requirements may still be required. Exit interview conducted with Administrator and a copy of this report provided.
