What the inspector wrote

On 4/9/2025 at 12:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) L. Hall conducted an unannounced pre-licensing/change of ownership inspection. LPA met with Arlene Day, Caregiver. Administrator, Maria Matel, arrived at 12:40pm. LPA toured the client’s bedrooms, bathrooms, dining rooms, common living areas, kitchen, and backyard. There is sufficient lighting around the facility. Resident rooms are equipped with the proper furniture and lighting. Facility has five (5) bedroom and two (2) bathrooms. One (1) room occupied by staff. Residents rooms have proper bedding and linens for the residents to use. The kitchen was observed cleaned and within compliance. Bathrooms were equipped with grab bars and hygiene items. Living room is equipped with the proper furniture for the residents. Facility has locked drawer for sharps and locked closet for medication. Passageways and hallways are free of obstruction. Fire extinguisher last services on 10/25/2024. Smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide detector are equipped around the facility. First aid kit is complete. Hot water temperature is measured at 142.3 degrees Fahrenheit. This is an existing facility and 2-day perishable, and 7-day non-perishable variety of foods available. The following issues need to be corrected by 4/18/2025. Hot water temperature shall measure between 105 -120 degrees F. Continued on LIC809C. Continued from LIC809. Two (2) of the patio doors shall have screens. Schedule appointment for medical assessment or obtain physician's report for all residents. Updated facility sketch showing both sheds, and fence in front of house. Issues are noted during inspection. LPA observed that facility is not ready to be licensed. This report will be submitted to the Central Applications Unit (CAU) and a final review of the application will be conducted. This facility is not yet licensed and is subject to final approval by CAU. Additional requirements may still be required. Exit interview conducted and a copy of this report provided.
