Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

At approximatley 11:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chris Arnhold arrived at this facility unannounced, to open an investigation into the above allegation. LPA met with Administrator Stiivi Aguilar and toured the facility. LPA used the Department issued thermometer and rested it on the dining room table upon entry to the facility. At approximately 11:20AM, LPA observed the temperature inside the building to be 67.8 degrees. LPA received information that the resident rooms have been as low as 56 degrees recently. LPA discussed with the Administrator the requirements for the temperature inside the building and requested daily temperature logs be kept to enusre the temperature is at least 68 degrees. Based on the Departments investigation, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. Deficiencies are cited from the California Code of Regulations (CCRs), and/or the Health and Safety Code. Failure to correct the cited deficiency(ies), on or before the Plan of Correction (POC) due date, may result in a civil penalty assessment. This report was reviewed with Stiivi Aguilar and Appeal rights were given.
