What the inspector wrote

On 02/02/22, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) M. Yang arrived unannounced to conduct case management and met with Administrator Ramona Eleco. LPA conducted interviews with staffs and reviewed records. LPA was informed by Administrator and S3 that ointment was applied to R1 without a written prescription. A deficiency is being cited on the attached 809D in accordance to California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6. Exit interview conducted. As a COVID-19 precautionary measure, a copy of this report and appeal rights will be provided via email. Report signed on-site.

Both the physician's order and the label shall contain at least all of the following information.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on records reviewed and interviews conducted, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above when staffs applied Calmoseptine ointment to blisters on R1's bottom which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
