Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Maldonado made a subsequent unannounced visit at the facility for the purpose of continuing and completing the required annual inspection, using the Care Compliance and Regulatory Enforcement (CARE) Tool, to evaluate the facility. LPA met with Licensee/Administrator, Leah Ignacio and explained the purpose for the visit. During today's visit, LPA Maldonado reviewed the following: (2) Staff files were reviewed for fingerprint clearances, health screenings, and proof of required annual training. (4) Resident medications were reviewed and their respective Centrally Stored Medication Log- medications were observed to be documented properly and given as prescribed. LPA observed several cameras throughout the facility located in common areas- Living room, hallway, outdoor patio, and driveway. Per Leah, the cameras were installed a few weeks ago, however they have no audio and they are only in use during the night time for security purposes. She proceeded to remove the cameras immediately and stated she will submit an updated Plan of Operations in the future for use of surveillance cameras. Per California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8, deficiencies were observed and cited on the LIC809-D. An exit interview was conducted with Licensee/Administrator, Leah Ignacio, and a copy of the report was provided.
