What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Galarza generated this Case Management - Other report in conjunction with complaint control # 28-AS-20230515134232 pertaining to observations made during the investigation. The purpose of the report was explained to Administrator Ana Giron. Cook/Staff (S1) is not cleared or associated to the facility. The staff has been working at the facility for several mon ths. Per Administrator, the staff was hired through an agency. Administrator obtained the staff file from the corporate office. Staff (S1) is cleared through Clear Checks- National Background Check. Since staff (S1) works at the facility on a regular basis, the facility was advised to obtain a Criminal Background clearance and associate the staff to the facility. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report was issued to Administrator Ana Giron.

    Maintenance and Operation. Water supplies and plumbing fixtures shall be maintained as follows: Faucets used by residents for personal care such as shaving and grooming shall deliver hot water. Hot water temperature controls shall be maintained to automatically regulate the temperature of hot water used by residents to attain a temperature of not less than 105 degree F (41 degree C) and not more than 120 degree F (49 degree C).Based on observation, the hot water temperature readings today measured between 113.5 DF - 126.9 DF; which poses an immediate health and safety risk to persons in care.
