What the inspector wrote

Administrator confirmed the facility was quite warm during her visit and provided fans for residents to use. Staff stated they turned on the air conditioner as the temperature became warmer on 6/13/24 and discovered it was not blowing out cool air. Staff indicated visitors also stated the facility was quite warm. According to AccuWeather, the temperature in the area was in the mid 80s during that week. Staff stated the air conditioner has been fixed as of 6/19/24. According to residents, some complain about feeling either hot or cold. When feeling cold, they add extra layers or use a blanket to stay warm. During the visit, LPA toured the facility and checked the thermostat. The air conditioner is working properly, and the facility is at a comfortable temperature. Based on interviews conducted, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore, the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22, Division 6 and Chapter 8), are being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. An exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report and appeal rights were provided.
