R2-R7 consistently affirmed that staff members exhibit no signs of meanness or rudeness in their interactions with residents. R2-R7 also attested that they enjoy a sense of safety, devoid of any form of corporal punishment, unusual treatment, or infliction of pain. S1-S2 and R2-R7 vehemently denied any and all allegation regarding the failure to treat residents with dignity and respect. Investigation revealed the following: During interviews with Staff 1 and Staff 2 (S1-S2) as well as residents 2 through 7 (R2-R7), it became evident that the allegations put forth are without merit. S1-S2 and R2-R7 consistently affirmed that staff members do not make any inappropriate comments directed toward residents. S1-S2 and R2-R7 stated residents are treated with dignity and respect and are safe, healthful, and receiving comfortable accommodations. S1-S2 and R2-R7 stated residents are free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, intimidation, ridicule, coercion, threat, mental abuse, or other actions of a punitive nature. R2-R7 asserted that staff does not interfere with their daily living functions, including essential activities such as eating, sleeping, or toileting. Likewise, no evidence of withholding essential elements like shelter, clothing, medication, or aids to physical functioning was observed. R2-R7 voiced their satisfaction with their current living arrangement, expressing that they did not have any problems, issues, or concerns. Throughout the interviews, both S1-S2 and R2-R7 steadfastly denied the allegations in question. Based on interviews, available evidence, observation, information received, and records reviewed there was not enough sufficient evidence to support the allegation. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is deemed unsubstantiated. There were no deficiencies cited. Exit interview conducted.
