What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mary Flores conducted an unannounced annual visit at the facility using the CARE inspection tool. LPA met with Laura Aguilar and explained the reason for the visit. The Facility is licensed to serve 6 non-ambulatory residents over the age of 60 and has an approved Hospice Waiver for six (6) residents. Facility is a single-family home with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living room, dinning room, a kitchen, a front yard, a fenced back yard, a 5ft fenced pool, and a detached garage. LPA Flores conducted a tour of the facility with Laura Aguilar and observed the following: Facility is in good repair inside and outside. Passageways are clear and free of debris. Pool is fenced by a 5ft fence all around and inaccessible to the residents. Living room and dining room have sufficient seating area are clean and in good repair. Fireplace in the living room is covered. Kitchen is clean, sufficient food supplies were observed for at least 2 days of perishables and 7 days of non-perishables. Cleaning supplies, sharps, and medication were observed lock in cabinets in the kitchen area. A total of 5 rooms were observed with the required furniture/bedding supplies and sufficient lighting. Three bathrooms were observed clean and in good repair, water temperature was tested between 114.4-115.7 degrees F., which is within the required 105-120 degrees F. Garage was observed with additional food supplies, hygiene supplies, and cleaning supplies. Laundry area was observed in good repair. Carbon Monoxide/Smoke detectors were tested and are in working condition. Files and medication were reviewed for 5 residents and 5 staff files were reviewed. LPA interviewed 2 staff and 2 residents. Emergency Disaster Plan and Infection Disaster Plan were reviewed. Administrator certificate was observed for Marcelino Aguilar #602026740 exp. date: 11/12/24. Last emergency drill was conducted on 1/19/24. Administrator will conduct an emergency drill by 6/17/24. No deficiencies were noted during this visit. A technical advisory was noted. Exit interview was conducted with Laura Aguilar and a copy of this report was provided.
