What the inspector wrote

On 6/14/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) B. Miranda arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a case management. LPA met with Resident Care Director Marilyn Couzens introduced herself, and explained the reason for the visit. During the visit LPA was informed Administrator Shawinee Jackson was not longer the administrator and S1 was the Interim Administrator. LPA reviewed records and did not find S1 to have proper clearance to work at the facility. Citation was issued under Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8. Exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report and LIC809D were provided to Marilyn Couzens.

The plan shall encourage routine medical and dental care and provide for assistance in obtaining such care, by compliance with the following:(6) When requested by the prescribing physician or the Department, a record of dosages of medications which are centrally stored shall be maintained by the facility.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation interview, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. LPA reviewed Centrally Stored Medication log which was incomplete and amount of medication in container had more medication then should have been from the filled date.
