Right to sufficient care and qualified staff

Based on record review, Licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Licensee did not ensure that R8 was supervised as required resulting in R8 eloping from the facility. Review of R8's physician report states that they are unable to leave the facility unassisted. This is an immediate health and safety risk to residents in care.

Assist residents with self-administered medication

Based on record review, Licensee did not comply with the section cited above and did not ensure that Resident 4's medication was administered correctly as required. Incident Report stated that R4 was given an incorrect "as needed" medication for pain. This is an immediate health and safety risk to residents in care.

Assist residents with self-administered medication

Based on document review, the Licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Resident 1 (R1) was administered a medication that they did not have a prescription for. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to residents in care.

Based on Record Review, the LIcensee did not comply with the section cited above. LPA observed 4 of 5 staff files did not have the annual trainings completed as required by the Health and Safety Code. This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to residents in care.

87465 Incidental Medical and Dental Care (a) (a) A plan for incidental medical and dental care shall be developed...encourage routine medical and dental care... by compliance with the following: (5)Facility staff...may assist persons with self-administration as needed. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on the incident report received, the Licensee did not comply with the section cited above, and did not administer medication to Resident as prescribed by their physician. This poses an immediate health and safety risk to residents in care.

87465(a)(5): Incidental Medical and Dental Care Services. The licensee shall assist residents with self-administered medications when needed.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on record review and interview with Administrator the facility failed to ensure R1's medication was given as prescribed by doctor which poses an immediate health and safety risk to resident in care.
