Bed provision and bedding standards for residents

Based on observation, staff interview and record reviewed, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as one resident is currently not being provided with a bed out of personal preference, without an exception having been requested. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Maintain physician order documentation in resident record

Based on observation and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as two residents are using beds equipped with half-rails for postural support without the adequate physician orders on file. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Based on interview and records, the licensee did not comply with the section cited as there have been no quarterly drills conducted since 2020. This poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Based on records reviewed, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as three residents with confirmed dementia diagnoses have medical assessments that have been concluded more than a year prior to the present visit.This poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
