Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

interviewed did not have a problem with how long it takes to have their meals served. Seven of nine individuals interviewed felt the current director of the facility treats everyone with respect and politeness especially the residents. Based on the observations made by LPA Patricia Velazquez, interviews which were conducted and the records that were reviewed, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the following allegations: Facility director does not treat residents with respect and politeness and Residents are made to wait an excessive amount of time to be served meals are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED. An exit interview was conducted with Executive Director Melanie Washington and a copy of this report was provided at the time of this visit. Based on LPA's observations, interviews which were conducted and the records that were reviewed, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the following allegation: Facility director was impaired while at the facility is deemed SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 8 is/are being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. An exit interview was conducted with Executive Director Melanie Washington and a copy of this report along with the appeal rights, LIC 811s, and LIC 9098 were provided at the time of this visit.

This poses a potential risk to the health & safety of residents in care.
