Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

CONTINUED FROM FORM LIC9099 Regarding the allegation that Staff do not maintain facility in good repair, the following has been concluded: Based on observation, interviews and a review of records, it was established that there is currently extensive damage to parts of the backyard patio structure and roof carpentry. It appears however that facility staff did their due diligence by informing the landlord of the situation as early as December 12, 2022 and followed up when an extensive weather event worsened the damage in early February 2024. A review of the current lease agreement did not evidence clearly the chain of liability for the damage. As a result, the allegation is found to be Unsubstantiated, meaning that although the allegation listed may have happened or is valid, there is not sufficient evidence to demonstrate that the alleged violation occurred. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to a facility representative.
