What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) William Vanegas conducted a continued an unannounced visit to complete the annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA Vanegas was greeted an granted entry to the facility by caregiver Salvador Urayenza and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA Vanegas began the inspection where initial inspection ended. LPA Vanegas observed the outside of the facility to be clean and free of any debris along the side exits. LPA Vanegas observed the side doors to be self latching and unlocked. LPA Vanegas observed there to be an outdoor shaded sitting area, and the backyard to be big enough to participate in outdoor activities upon resident request. LPA Vanegas observed resident rooms to have all required furnishings such as a bed, clean linens in good repair; meaning no strains or tares, a chest drawer, enough storage space to store personal belongings, and a reading lamp. All reams appeared to be clean and sanitary. LPA Vanegas reviewed two staff files and five resident files, all files (Resident and Staff) had all required documents and staff annual training was completed. LPA Vanegas observed all smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to be in good repair and all tested operational. LPA Vanegas observed all fire extinguishers to be fully charged and up to date. LPA Vanegas observed first aid kit to have all required items and a first aid manual on hand. LPA Vanegas reviewed all medications to be documented correctly, and per LPA review medications are being administered per physicians orders. Based on today's observations no deficiencies will be cited per title 22 chapter 8 division 6 of the California Code of Regulations. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to the facility.
