Based on observation and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. LPA observed the facility was providing one unpresribed supplement to Resident #3 (R3) and ten unprescribed supplements/medications to Resident #5 (R5) and without valid prescriptions.

Based on observation, interview, and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. During file review, LPA observed that Resident #1 (R1) is diabetic and requires insulin injections. Staff interviews confirmed that facility staff are providing the injections to R1 and not a licensed medical professional. Per R1's LIC602, R1 is not able to administer her own injections.
