What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough conducted an announced visit to the facility for the purpose of a pre-licensing inspection. LPA arrived at the facility and was greeted and granted entry. LPA met with Applicant Faisal Rajpoot and Kamil Rajpoot. An initial application to operate a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly with a capacity of six non ambulatory of which one may be bedridden was submitted to CCL on January 22, 2025. The facility is a one story home with six bedrooms, four bathrooms, one office, two living rooms, kitchen, laundry room, and backyard. The resident bedrooms had all the required components and furnishings with extra storage space. All bathrooms have working toilets, sinks, and showers with non-slip mats. LPA tested the water to be between 105 and 107.2 degrees Fahrenheit in the resident bathrooms. LPA observed the kitchen to be clean. LPA observed the knives to be in a locked cabined next to the fridge. LPA observed all appliances to be in working order. LPA observed the locked cabinet next to the fridge to be where the resident medication will be stored, making them inaccessible. LPA observed emergency lighting and a complete first aid kit on the cabinet in the kitchen. LPA observed the See Something, Say Something poster (PUB 475), Personal Rights, and Emergency Disaster Plan mounted on the wall in the facility. LPA observed the emergency food supply stored in the outdoor shed. LPA observed the toxins and chemicals to be stored in the locked outdoor bathroom. LPA observed the backyard to be free of obstructions and debris. LPA observed a shaded seating area in the backyard for resident use. LPA observed the fire alarms and smoke detectors to be operational. LPA observed fire extinguishers throughout the facility charged and with a service day of March 13, 2025. The fire clearance was approved on March 12, 2025. Continue on 809-C LPA conducted the Component Three Orientation with applicant. Applicant was notified that the final application approval will be issued by the Centralized Applications Bureau in Sacramento. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided at the time of inspection.
