What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough conducted an announced visit to the facility for the purpose of a pre-licensing inspection. LPA arrived at the facility and was greeted and granted entry. LPA met with applicant Gary and Heidie Tadeo. An initial application to operate a Residential Facility for the Elderly for 5 non ambulatory and 1 bedridden resident was submitted to CCL on July 11, 2025. The fire clearance was approved on September 2, 2025 for 5 non ambulatory residents and 1 bedridden resident to reside in room 4. The fire clearance notated that the garage is to only be used for storage. The facility is a one story home with a living room, kitchen, 6 resident bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, laundry room and backyard. The resident rooms have all the required components and furnishings. LPA observed an extra supply of linens in the resident bedrooms. All bathrooms have working toilets, sinks and showers. LPA observed toilet paper and paper towels in the restrooms. The water was tested between 105 and 119.8 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA observed the See Something, Say Something poster in the living room. LPA observed the medication cart to be stored in the living room with a lock. LPA observed a supply of activities in the living room for resident use. LPA observed a completed first aid kit on the medication cart. LPA observed the kitchen to be clean and free of vermin. LPA observed a 2 day perishable and 7 day non perishable food supply on hand. LPA observed the kitchen appliances to be operational. LPA observed the garage door to have a lock and be used for facility storage such as toxins and chemicals. LPA observed the garage to have the emergency food and water supply. Continue on LIC809C LPA observed the backyard to have a shaded seating area for resident use. LPA observed no debris or obstructions in the backyard. Applicant tested the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors and found them to be operational. LPA observed fire extinguishers throughout the facility charged and with a service date of July 18, 2025. LPA conducted the Component Three Orientation with applicant. Applicant was notified that the final application approval will be issued by the Centralized Applications Bureau in Sacramento. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided at the time of the inspection.
