What the inspector wrote

On this day Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Fred Arias and Nancy Guillen made an announced visit to conduct a required pre-licensing visit. LPAs were greeted and granted entry into the facility by Administrator (AD) Gabby Garcia. Facility is licensed for six non-ambulatory residents for which one may be bedridden in room 2. LPAs along with AD toured the facility at 3:00 PM. LPAs toured the physical plant. The home consists of three resident bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, as well as three bathrooms. Resident bedrooms had the required furniture, bed linens and closet/drawer space to accommodate each resident comfortably. Resident bathrooms were checked. Toilets and water faucets worked properly and showers were free of mold/mildew. Water temperature measured between 110.1 degrees F and 111.9 degrees F in all bathrooms. Resident bath towels, toiletries and personal hygiene supplies were adequately stocked. Common areas were clean and clear of hazards. LPAs toured the kitchen and appliances were operational during today's visit. LPAs observed sharps were locked in a kitchen cabinet. Smoke detectors tested operational during today's visit. Fire extinguishers were fully charged. Auditory alarms were observed to be functional in all resident bedrooms and exit doors. Outside grounds were toured. Walkways around the home were clear of hazards. There is shaded outdoor seating for residents. Facility will conduct activities in the form of exercise and games. Exit gates are unlocked and operational. LPA Arias reviewed facility admission agreement. LPA Arias conducted the Component Three Orientation with AD. AD was notified that the final application approval will be issued by the Centralized Applications Bureau in Sacramento. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to the Administrator.
