What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lavinia Muscan met with applicant, Marina Iancu, to conduct an announced Pre- Licensing visit. LPA followed current Covid precautions- self screened, hand sanitized and surgical mask worn. Applicant holds a current administrator certificate (# 6043870740 with expiration date 03/22/2023 ). There is a fire clearance for 6 non-ambulatory residents in this facility and facility has a waiver for 2 hospice residents at this time. LPA toured the facility with Marina to ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations. Facility inspection is done for these areas but not limited to six (6) resident bedrooms , one (1) staff bedroom, three (3) bathrooms, storage area, outside area and laundry area . Bathrooms and bedrooms were in sanitary condition and properly maintained. The food supply is within compliance, 2 days of perishable and 7 days worth of non-perishable food items. Grab bars were present at the toilet and in the shower. All exits were unobstructed. All toxins, medications, and sharps were locked and stored away. The disaster drill is current. The administrator's certificate is current. There is a side gate for emergency access. LPA checked the kitchen area for the ability to prepare and store food. Knives and Sharp objects found to be locked . LPA observed cleaning products and other toxins to be locked away. LPA observed the area used for medication to be locked and inaccessible to residents. LPA observed smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors at the care home are operational. Fire extinguisher is ready for emergency use. Water temperature read at 118*. Component III was waived during today's inspection, as the current administrator has done Component III for another facility. LPA will forward findings to the Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) that facility met all the pre-licensing components. Applicant has satisfied all requirements in accordance to Title 22, California Code of Regulations on today's pre-licensing inspection. A copy of this report was provided to the facility. Exit interview conducted.
