What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janira Arreola conducted an announced Pre-Licensing visit. LPA met with Applicant, John Michael Vincent Austria who was informed of the purpose of the visit. The applicant is seeking an initial license for a residential care facility for the elderly. The facility is a one story home with (4) bedrooms, (2) bathrooms and (1) half bath. The local fire department approved the facility for (6) non-ambulatory resident, (1) of which may be bedridden. There is no pool and no fire arms stored at the facility. LPA observed the physical plant, fixtures and furniture were present and in good repair for future residents. The kitchen has the ability to prepare food in a clean environment. The facility has the required 2-day supply of perishable and 7-day supply of non perishable foods. The facility has required postings founds including the 1-800-Let-Us-No poster. The dangerous objects such as centrally stored medications, knifes, sharps, and cleaning supplies have designated locked areas. The facility has cleaning supplies to conduct regular cleaning of the facility. LPA observed linens, hygiene supplies, and PPE supplies ready for future residents. The facility has emergency and disaster supplies including a First Aid kit. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were observed and are operable. Hot water temperature was read at in the kitchen which was over 118F. The facility has a land line number at: 951-238-1096. Exit paths were observed to be free of obstruction. There are no immediate health or safety concerns at this time and no objections at this time. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was reviewed and provided.
