What the inspector wrote

This unannounced visit by Amy Goldenberg, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), is being conducted to conclude this agency’s investigation into the complaint allegation mentioned above. During this visit LPA spoke with the administrator, one (1) caregiver, and two (2) of four (4) residents in the home. It is alleged that staff do not speak English and therefore are not able to communicate with the residents. Investigation revealed the following: Two (2) of two (2) residents interviewed deny there is a language barrier and report that they are able to communicate with staff. Two (2) of Two (2) facility staff interviewed speak English and deny any language barrier. We have found the complaint allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred. A copy of this report is being reviewed with and furnished to the facility representative.
