What the inspector wrote

On 11/24/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kimberly Viarella made a scheduled visit to this facility to conduct a pre-licensing inspection. LPA identified herself upon arrival and met with the Licensee Applicant, Makayla White. The inspection began in the kitchen. All knives and sharps were in a locked drawer and inaccessible to future residents in care. All cabinets and drawers were inspected to ensure that there were enough cooking utensils, as well as plates, and cups for residents in care. LPA observed that there was a turkey in the freezer for the residents to enjoy at Thanksgiving. LPA also observed a locked cabinet with labeled containers for each future resident's medications. LPA observed logs for Centrally Stored Medications, Medication Administration Record, Incident Reports, Showers Sheets and the Emergency Disaster Plan. The facility also had their Resident Rights, Grievance Policy, Theft and Loss Policy, and Makayla White's Administrator's Certificate. The Ombudsman and See Something Say Something posters were also posted. LPA observed all 3 double occupancy resident rooms had the required furniture, furnishings and lighting to be in compliance at the time of this inspection. LPA inspected 2 bathrooms, both had the required grab bars, non-slip/skid mats, paper towels, hand soap, and trash cans with lids. LPA measured the hot water to ensure that it was between 105 and 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The hot water measured 117.5 degrees and was in compliance at the time of this inspection. LPA reviewed the facility's plan of operations, and provided technical assistance regarding keeping folding chairs available for resident/visitor use if they chose not to have a full-size permanent chair in their bedrooms. LPA inspected the exterior of the building and found no concerns. All was in compliance at the time if this inspection. This facility passed its Comp II and completed Comp III and is ready for licensing. According to the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, no deficiencies were observed during today's visit a copy of this report was provided and an exit interview was conducted with White.
