Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sabrina Calzada, arrived unannounced to conduct a case management inspection and met with Administrator, Brenda Cobos. LPA stated the reason for the inspection. LPA and the Administrator discussed a variety of topics, as follows: Training in process for new Med-Techs A new nurse was recently hired, so there are now (3) nurses. There will be a nurse scheduled on every shift, (7) days per week, from 6:00 am- 10:30 pm. Changes in staffing, including new hires. New flooring installed throughout. Spring party held for resident and families last week. Recent fall of resident (R1). Facility to submit an incident report within (7) days. Coaching session held with Med-Techs regarding additional training and supervision by the nurses and Health and Services Director regarding medication administration, following proper procedure, documentation, and using the software system. LPA and Administrator toured the interior of the facility. LPA observed new flooring to be installed throughout the common areas. LPA observed the facility to be clean, in good repair and odor free throughout. LPA observed some residents to be resting in their rooms and some to be engaged in the activity room. There were no deficiencies observed. There are no citations issued in this report. Exit interview. Copy of report provided to Administrator.
