What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chrisitna Valerio arrived unannounced to conduct an annual required inspection. LPA met with facility staff Cynthia Gadia, and explained the purpose of the visit. LPA Valerio and staff toured the facility to ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations. LPA Valerio observed two living room areas to be fully furnished, free from odors, and clean. Residents were observed sitting in the living room watching television. Resident bedrooms were observed to be free from odors, to have clean linens, and free from clutter. Resident bathrooms were observed to be clean and sanitary. The facility was observed to have hygiene supplies for the residents in care. There was an extra supply of linens and towels for the residents in care. Staff were observed assisting residents with ADLs. The kitchen was observed to have working appliances. The facility was observed to have an adequate supply of perishable and nonperishable food items. Sharps, medications, and toxins were observed to be locked and inaccessible to residents in care. The backyard was observed to have an area for outdoor sitting. Emergency exits were clear from obstructions. LPA Valerio reviewed resident and staff files. All files reviewed were observed to be up to date with required documentation. The last fire drill was conducted this month with residents and staff. LPA Valerio requested the following documentation be sent to christina.valerio@dss.ca.gov: LIC 500, LIC 308, LIC 610, and copy of liability insurance. Per California Code of Regulations (CCR) - Title 22 - no deficiencies were observed. An exit interview was held, and a copy of this report was provided to Licensee/Administrator Cindy Cendana Gulesserian.
