What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Vincent Moleski arrived unannounced to conduct an annual inspection. LPA Moleski met with facility administrator Jennell Revera and explained the purpose of the visit. LPA Moleski reviewed eight resident files (R1-R8) and seven staff files (S1-S7). S3, S4 and S7's files contained expired first aid/CPR training certifications. S3's certificate expired on 3/17/23. S4's expired on 6/1/23. S7's expired on 6/28/23. LPA Moleski toured the facility with Revera and inspected common areas, the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and outdoor areas. Furniture and furnishings were sufficient to meet the needs of residents. The facility temperature was 74 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 68 and 85 degrees. The facility's water temperature measured 111 degrees Fahrenheit, which is within the required range of 105 and 120 degrees. LPA Moleski observed first aid supplies, fully-charged and up-to-date fire extinguishers, and carbon monoxide/smoke detectors. LPA Moleski observed a minimum 2-day supply of perishable food and a minimum 7-day supply of nonperishable food. LPA Moleski observed a locked cart for the storage of medication. LPA Moleski observed inaccessible storage areas for cleaning solutions and knives. LPA Moleski interviewed four staff members (S3, S8, S9, S10) and four residents (R9-R12). This facility is being cited per 22 CCR 87411(c)(1) . An exit interview was conducted with Revera. Appeal rights and a copy of this report were left with Revera.
