Licensing Program Analyst, Amber Coleman, (LPA) arrived at the Nick's Maple Home II to conduct an unannounced complaint visit for #56-AS-20230426113048. During visit, LPA observed deficiencies not related to the complaint allegations. At Approximately 9:56am, while completing a walk through of the kitchen. LPA observed a chain and pad lock around the refrigerator handles. Preventing access to the food inside. Staff reported this is done while during meal prep times to no allow residents to remove items they may not be allowed to have. Based on observations and interviews, a deficiency will be issued to address the aforementioned concerns. An exit interview was conducted where this report was discussed, reviewed and provided to the facility representative.
