Resident interview revealed that staff knock before entering rooms and provide privacy during care. No residents reported concerns or incidents of privacy violations. No additional witnesses were identified to corroborate the RP’s claim. No residents or family members reported concerns regarding unauthorized disclosure of medical information. Records review confirmed that employees received training on confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Training logs confirm annual refreshers and orientation materials that emphasize safeguarding resident information and respectful communication. During the visit, LPA observed staff maintaining resident confidentiality during interactions and care. No breaches of privacy were observed. This agency has investigated the complaint alleging the above allegations.  The Department has found that although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur; therefore, the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.  An exit interview was conducted with Myra  to whom a copy of this report and the Licensee/Appeal Rights (LIC9058 03/22) were provided.
