What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Debbie Correia conducted an unannounced Required annual Inspection. The facility file was reviewed prior to the visit. LPA was welcomed by Caregiver Anna Pedroza, identified herself, and shortly later met with House Manager (HM) Mirtha Oropeza who explained the purpose of the visit. The facility is Licensed to serve a capacity of 15 residents, all of which (15) may be non-ambulatory, 13 may be bedridden, and five (5) who receive Hospice Services. During today’s inspection, there were a total of thirteen (13) residents in care. A review of resident and staff records were complete and accurate. The facility has current liability insurance and Administrator Certification. The facility’s last disaster drill was conducted in May of 2025, and the last fire inspection was in March of 2025. Per HM Oropeza there are no firearms or weapons kept on the facility grounds. LPA Correia, accompanied by HM Oropeza, conducted a facility tour of the interior and exterior of the facility, and inspected each resident's bedroom. Pathways were free of obstruction and slip hazards. Resident bedrooms and bathrooms contained all the required furnishings and were equipped with the required safeguards. [CONTINUED ON LIC809-C] (CONTINUED FROM LIC809) LPA observed extra linens and hygiene supplies were present, as well as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The facility had sufficient space and equipment to facilitate dining, laundry, visitation, meetings, and resident activities. The facility had at least 2 days’ supply of perishable food, and at least 7 days of non-perishable food present. All sharp objects, toxic chemicals/poisons, fireplaces, or open-faced heaters were inaccessible to residents in care. Medications were labeled, as required, and stored in a locked room. Hot water temperature at taps accessible to residents in care were with-in regulation. The facility’s ambient temperature measured at 76 degrees Fahrenheit. The interior and exterior of the facility were free from obstructions and LPA observed no bodies of water on the premises. Based on today’s inspection, there are no deficiencies being cited. An exit interview was conducted with House Manager Oropeza and was informed a copy of this report, and Licensee Rights - LIC 9058 (rev. 01/16) will be provided ar the conclusion of the visit. Signature receipt acknowledges receipt of these documents.
