What the inspector wrote

On 06/16/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) T. White conducted case management visit regarding incident report that was submitted to CCLD on 06/01/2021. LPA spoke with Executive Director, Mary Margaret Chappell and explained the purpose of the visit. Based on incident report, on 5/26/2021 Staff #1 (S1) took a picture of a Resident #1 (R1) in R1’s brief’s while R1 was on the ground from a fall. R1 was unaware of the picture and did not consent to the picture being taken. Management immediately spoke with S1 and suspended S1 immediately. The facility conducted in- service training on 05/27/2021 regarding cell phone use policy and S1 was terminated on 05/26/2021. The following deficiency was observed (see LIC 809D) and cited from the California Code of Regulations, Title 22. Failure to correct deficiency may result in civil penalties. Exit interview with Administrator. Appeal rights and a copy of report given.
