What the inspector wrote

LPA Marrufo observed there to be a daily menu posted in the kitchen. LPA Marrufo observed lunch service. Residents were served a chicken salad with diced melon and a yogurt cup. During visit on 08/26/2025, LPA Marrufo interviewed residents R1-R5. LPA Marrufo attempted to interview R6, but R6 was sleeping during visit. R1-R5 stated that staff give them enough food to eat for each meal. R1 could not remember how many meals staff provide for residents per day. R2-R5 stated that the facility staff provide three meals per day. R1 and R3-R5 stated staff make snacks available to residents. R2 stated staff hardly make snacks available to him/her, but staff bring him/her coffee each morning. During visit on 08/26/2025, LPA Marrufo interviewed staff S1-S3. S1-S3 stated that staff give residents enough food per meal. S1-S3 stated staff serve residents three meals per day and provide them with snacks. During visit on 08/26/2025, Administrator (ADM) Rosana Mendoza stated that staff serve residents meals and snacks three times a day. On 8/28/2025, LPA Marrufo obtained copies of facility food purchasing receipts. A receipt dated 08/04/2025 totals $140.27. A receipt dated 08/06/2025 totals $225.70. A receipt dated 08/15/2025 totals $54.44. Allegation - Facility staff are consuming alcohol beverage while on duty. During visit on 08/26/2025, LPA toured the facility, including the kitchen area and garage area. LPA did not find any alcoholic beverages or bottles at the facility. During interview on 08/26/2025, R1-R5 stated to have never seen staff drink alcohol at the facility. R1-R5 stated to have never seen staff to be drunk at the facility. Page 2 of 3. During interview on 08/26/2025, S1-S3 stated to have never observed a staff drink alcohol at the facility or be drunk at the facility. During interview on 08/26/2025, ADM stated to have never observed a staff drink alcohol or being drunk at the facility. ADM stated staff are told when they are first hired that they are not allowed to drink alcohol at the facility or store alcohol in their staff bedrooms. This agency has investigated the complaint allegations listed. Based on interviews and review of records, the CCLD has found that the complaint allegations are unfounded, meaning that the allegations were false, could not have happened and/or are without a reasonable basis.
