Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Steve Chang and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Romeo Manzano conducted an office meeting with Licensee Gano Fici, son of licensee Genti Fici and Administrator (ADM) Jean Jose. The purpose of this meeting is to address the incident report the Department received on 4/9/2025 regarding resident R1 who almost choke from consuming 'pork grind' given by R1's responsible party (RP). Facility summoned 911. R1 is currently at the hospital, R1 did not choke due cough and history of stroke. During today's office visit, LPA informed licensee and ADM the importance of documentation, and assessment of resident prior to admission to the facility, and the duties and responsibilities of the ADM including higher level of care and rental increase. According to licensee effective 4/11/2025, ADM Jean Jose will be a full time Administrator at the facility Monday to Friday. Administrator may provide assist with care and supervision. No deficiency noted today. Exit interview was conducted with ADM. The report was provided to ADM for review and signature. A copy of the report was provided to ADM
