Complaint alleges “Staff handled resident in a rough manner, resulting in an injury.” LPA interviewed R1 and R1 reported they could not recall if staff handled them in a rough manner. R1 reported they felt jaw pain during their examination. Based on medical records R1 was diagnosed with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ) and was treated with a steroid injection. No injury was documented in R1's medical records obtained by the investigation branch. Based on the evidence provided, the preponderance of evidence standards was not met, therefore, the above allegation is found to be UNFOUNDED. An unfounded allegation means that the allegation was false, could not have happened and/or is without a reasonable basis. Exit interview conducted. A copy of this report was provided.
