Report Continued from LIC 9099... While conducting the facility tour, LPAs observed an activities board posted by the main entrance as well as a sign-up sheet for activities offered at a future date and time. LPAs were also provided a copy of the activities calendar for the day that is available by the lobby. At 12:46pm, LPAs observed staff and residents inside the activities room decorating cupcakes. Interviews conducted with staff revealed monthly activities calendar are both posted and handed to each resident. Additionally, residents are able to participate in all activities and staff will assist the residents to the activities if needed. Interview with resident revealed staff has previously assisted them to go outside and participate in activities; however, they prefer to stay in their rooms. Based on interviews, observation, and documents obtained and reviewed, the Department does not have sufficient evidence to support the allegation of “residents are not being provided with activities”. Therefore, the allegation is deemed Unsubstantiated at this time. Exit interview. No citations issued during this visit. Report was reviewed and issued to the Executive Director.
