Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jyoti Saini met with Director Rina Jarin for an unannounced Annual Random Inspection. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the site coordinator. In addition to the director and site coordinator, 77 preschool children and 14 staff members were present today. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in nine preschool classrooms. The facility was inspected indoors and outdoors for health and safety hazards, and the following was observed: The facility has a functioning carbon monoxide detector, smoke detectors/fire alarms, and fully charged 2A-10-BC fire extinguishers accessible throughout the facility. During today’s inspection, LPA did not observe any bodies of water. The director confirmed that there are no firearms or weapons on the premises. All furniture is in good repair. The center has age-appropriate toys and equipment in each classroom. A first aid kit and a first aid backpack are available. The program provides daily snacks, and families are required to provide lunch for the children. The facility also offers an option for parents to purchase lunch from a vendor who delivers daily. The snack menu is posted for the entire month. Children bring their own water bottles, which staff refill using water fountains as needed. Each child has a separate labeled cubby for personal belongings. Each child also has separate blankets and sheets, which, per the director, are laundered weekly by parents. The outdoor play area is fenced for supervision. The play structure is age-appropriate and in good condition, with rubber cushioning underneath. There are four swings, and a shaded area is provided with a canopy and benches placed underneath. The classrooms have all required postings. The last emergency drill was conducted on 03/31/2026 and is properly logged. Medications are stored in the office, inaccessible to children in care. LPA reviewed the medications and confirmed they are all current. The facility utilizes the Brightwheel app to sign children in and out. The facility roster was reviewed, and a copy was obtained. Children’s and staff files were reviewed. The opening and closing staff members have current CPR and First Aid certifications on file. See next page.. Criminal Record Clearance - Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Lead Testing – CCC COMPLETED TESTING Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . Incidental Medical Services (IMS) This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS.
