What the inspector wrote
Today, June 3, 2026 at approximately 1:35M, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Paulita De La Cruz met with the licensee, Stacy Carrier-Broussard, for the purpose of conducting an unannounced Annual/Random Inspection. Present during this visit was one school-age child. The facility operates Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-6:00PM, serving children 0 - 13 years of age.
A health and safety tour of the home was conducted inside and outside. This is a two-story home with the following located on the main-level: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and the kitchen. The following are located downstairs: 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a family room. The home has an attached garage that is accessible only from the outside of the home. The home has a front yard that is not fenced in and a backyard that is fenced-in. The fireplace located in the living room is made inaccessible by placing a kitchen play set in front of it. The home is equipped with central heating and air-conditioning for comfort. The licensee will isolate a sick child in her bedroom, as needed. There are age appropriate equipment and toys/materials available for children in the home. The home is equipped with a fully charged 4-A-60-BC fire extinguisher and a functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. The licensee has current pediatric CPR/First Aid and Mandated Reporter Certificate valid until 2/2028 and 2/24/2028, respectively. There are no firearms in the home, per the licensee. There are no bodies of water present inside and outside of the home.
ON-LIMIT AREAS:
The main-level of the home and the front yard. There are no hazardous cleaning chemicals and/or objects accessible to the children in these areas and adult supervision will be observed when children are present in the front yard.
OFF-LIMIT AREAS:
3 bedrooms on the main-level, entire downstairs, the backyard, and the garage.
Child safety gates/latches and/or adult supervision is utilized to keep children from accessing the areas.
The licensee does not have any infant children enrolled at this time. Regulation regarding maintaining an infant sleep plan and log for all infants in care was discussed with the licensee. An emergency drill is being conducted on a monthly basis and a log is being maintained. A facility roster is also being maintained. All licensing required documents are posted and readily available for public review. Children's records were reviewed. All files were found to be complete.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at

as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for and removing any recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at

and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. During the exit interview, the Licensee, Stacy Carrier-Broussard, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
