What the inspector wrote

On 03/24/2022 at 1:40pm Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) A. Curry and C. Watts conducted an unannounced case management inspection to discuss the lead in the water supply at the facility. LPAs were greeted at the door by the director Diana Davis but toured the facility with business manager Jessie Kael. Ms. Kael stated the facility has not received the results of the lead testing. LPA A. Curry informed Ms. Kael that the water supply in Site D exceeded the acceptable amount of lead required for child care centers and she immediately made the sink in Site D inoperable by taping a bag over the sink to ensure children in care are not able to access the water. Ms. Kael stated she will have the sink in Site D repaired and have the water supply retested by a certified external water sampler within 30 days and before use. An exit interview was conducted with director Diana Davis, appeal rights were given, and a copy of this report was provided.
