On September 23, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Indira Loza met with Co-Directors Laurie Robinson and Celeste Low for an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. The preschool center was inspected for a health and safety check. Present during the inspection were 33 preschoolers and 7 fingerprint cleared staff. The teacher/child ratio was being met today. There is also an infant component in the same building (facility # 010209466 ). This center operates Monday through Friday 7:45am to 5:30pm. CLASSROOMS: The preschool component operates out of two classrooms. There is adequate heating/air conditioning, ventilation and lighting. LPA did not observe cleaning supplies or toxic items accessible to children during today's inspection. The toys appear to be safe and well maintained. There were age-appropriate toys for the children to play with. The floors, furniture, and equipment are age appropriate and in good repair. There is proper individual storage space for each child. The smoke detector is hardwired and there is a working carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen and in all classrooms. The facility is equipped with a working telephone and pull down fire alarm system. FOOD SERVICE AREAS: The kitchen is not accessible to children in care. A menu is posted and is visible for review. The center serves Breakfast, Lunch and one afternoon snack. LPA toured the food preparation area and did not find any pesticide stored in the kitchen. OUTDOOR PLAY AREAS: There were plenty of age appropriate activities and plenty of shade for the children in care. The outdoor play area is fully fenced in. There is a separate outdoor play area for the infants. There were no bodies of water or pools on the daycare premises. BATHROOMS AND TOILETING AREAS: The sinks and faucets are in safe and sanitary operating condition. size appropriate sinks and toilets for the toddlers to use. RECORDS: LPA reviewed 5 children files which were all complete. LPA reviewed 3 staff files which were all complete. All individuals subject to criminal record review have a criminal record clearance. All required documents are posted for public review. All staff have a current CPR certificate which expires on February 2026 and all staff have a current Mandated Reporter certificate. Disaster drills are being conducted at least once every 6 months, the last fire drill took place on 6/16/25. No IMS is being provided as of today. Director was reminded that EMSA approved Pediatric CPR & First Aid training must be completed every two (2) years. Personnel Roster must be properly maintained, and fire/disaster drill must be conducted every six (6) months and documented. Director was reminded that California Law requires all facilities to report unusual incidents or injuries to children in care, to child's parents, and to the Department of Social Services using the Unusual Incident/Injury form (LIC 624). Incidents must be reported within 24 hours by phone or fax. LPA informed Director that all forms can be downloaded at www.ccld.ca.gov . Director was also informed that Mandated Reporter Training ("General" and "Child Care Providers") is required for all staff and is to be renewed every 2 years by visiting www.mandatedreporterca.com . Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . CCC completed testing and there were no exceedances. Report was reviewed with Co-Director Celeste Low. Notice of Site Visit provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
