What Happened

Unannounced annual inspection of the home daycare found the environment clean, fenced, and equipped with working safety devices and screened fireplaces. The main compliance issue was incomplete child records, including missing immunization documentation for two children.

Observations

  • two children's files were incomplete and were missing immunization records
  • the home had a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector
  • the backyard play area was fenced
  • fire/disaster drills were documented twice a year
