What the inspector wrote

On October 20, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lorraine Dacanay Breaux arrived for an unannounced Annual/Random Required Inspection , and met with Licensee Jayanti Dixit. Present for this inspection were fingerprint cleared daughter D. Dixit. There were no children in care (child care was closed for the day). The home was toured inside and outside with the licensee to conduct a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation for day care are Monday through Friday, 07:30 am to 6:00pm. This is a single story home with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms which is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. ON LIMITS: Entire home, living room, family room, kitchen, all three bedrooms, which includes the master bedroom and bathroom, main bathroom, and rear yard. OFF LIMITS: Two car garage. Off limit areas are inaccessible by closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. ISOLATION AREA: Living room area away from the children in care until the parents arrive. The outdoor play area is fully fenced, and is free from defects and dangerous conditions. There were age appropriate toys that were observed to be safe and in good condition. Any toxins, medicines, and hazardous items were inaccessible during today's inspection. Fully charged fire extinguisher 3A40BC located in the living room, and working carbon monoxide and smoke detectors (tested and functioning) located in the hallway. The fireplace is located in the front living room, it is screened to prevent access by children. Per licensee, there are no firearms. Licensee confirmed that she resides in the home and confirmed there are no swimming pools and/or bodies of water during today's visit. LIC 809-C Records: At approximately 12:40 PM LPA Breaux requested and reviewed one child's file and personnel files. There is a current roster available for review and a copy obtained. Licensee mandated reporter training was completed and reviewed, reminded to renew every two years. Licensee was reminded to visit www.mandatedreporterca.com for the training. Licensee CPR/First Aide is current and expires on 07/14/2026 and Mandated Reported training was completed on 07/26/24. Criminal Record Clearance: Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. MyChildCarePlan.org: Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Unusual Incident/Student Injury Report: Effective August 1, 2003 California Law requires Child Care Licensees to report unusual incidents or injuries to children in care to child\342\200\231s parents and to the Department of Social Services using the Unusual Incident/Injury Form (LIC 624). Incidents must be reported within 24 hours to the regional office by phone and the written report, LIC 624, within 7 business days. Page 2 of 3 ***Continued on LIC 809C*** Safe Sleep: LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS): Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Megan\342\200\231s Law: During the exit interview, the licensee, Jayanti Dixit confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. No deficiencies noted during today's visit: A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Appeal rights were given and reviewed.
