What Happened

The family child care home was generally in safe condition with proper outdoor containment and emergency equipment in place. The main deficiency was a staff-record issue: the assistant did not have current mandated reporter training on file.

Observations

  • The facility kept IMS medication in the child's backpack and out of children's reach
  • Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were working and the fire extinguisher was present
