What Happened

Unannounced annual random inspection found the home daycare clean, orderly, and set up with safe access controls between on-limit and off-limit areas. The licensee had a working smoke/carbon monoxide detector setup, fenced outdoor space, and documented fire/disaster drills.

Observations

  • the daycare area was clean and equipped with age-appropriate toys
  • a safety gate blocked access to the stairs leading to the second floor
  • the outdoor play area was fenced
  • fire/disaster drills were documented at least twice a year
