What the inspector wrote

On 10/11/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Briana Plumboy and Randall Dunevant met today with Associate Teacher Monika Chana for the purpose of an unannounced annual random inspection. Present for the inspection were 3 fingerprint cleared staff, as well as 10 preschool children in care. The center is located on the Pioneer Elementary School Campus inside room K6. The program consists of two 1/2 day sessions. The am session is from 8:15am until 11:15am, and the pm session is from 12:00pm until 3:00pm. The preschool is located inside a portable in the kindergarten area of the elementary school. There is a doorbell located on the outside of the gate and is connected to the Kidango classroom. LPA toured the facility and play yard for a health and safety inspection. A review of staff records indicates that all facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances. The teacher/child ratio was being met. The sign in/out is digital. The classroom and play yard were age appropriate and in good repair. The play structure in the yard is designed for ages 5-12 years old and not designed to be utilized by the preschool age children. Bathrooms were clean and in working order. The restroom is located inside the classroom (K6) and is an all gender restroom. The trash cans have tight fitting lids. Meals are prepared and delivered by Kidango, Inc. There is a menu posted for the entire month. The kitchen area was maintained. There is water readily available. All posting requirements are being met. One staff has current CPR and first aid training. All staff present today have immunization's and received certificates in mandated reporter training.
